Table Curl Before you start:
- By using the provided water-level please ensure that the curling board is completely level. - The game is played by two teams that consist of 1-4 players each. - Each team has eight stones. - The teams should toss a coin to decide how many rounds (usually 10) should be played and to determine which team will get the last stone in the first round. - The team that loses the coin toss can choose their stone color and begin the first round.
Objective of the game and scoring:
Once all 16 stones have been played, one point is awarded for each stone that comes to rest closer to the centre of the circle than the opponent’s stone(s). (Only one team can score per round) The stone(s) must touch or land within the circles for points to be awarded. In the event that neither team scores points in a round, the next round will be played in the same order, ie: the same team will begin the next round. How to play:
- The teams play their stones alternately. - Players must release the stone before they pass the first black line, which is called hog-line. - The entire stone must pass the hog-line at the opposite end in order to be in play. If it does not pass the opposite hog-line it must be taken out of play. - If it is unclear which stone is closest to the center of the circle the winner of the round will be determined by measuring the distance to the center of the circles. - If a stone is illegally moved, the skip (captain) of the opposite team has the right to place the stone(s) where he/she feels they have been before. - The team that wins the round begins the next round. - In the event a game is tied after all rounds have been played, one player from each team shall play one stone into the empty circles.
